RINA is currently recruiting for a Internship - Bridge Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Italy Infrastructure & Mobility Division.
Mission
The role focuses on supporting the planning, design, and maintenance of bridge structures through on-the-job training and mentorship provided by Senior Engineers. The internship offers the opportunity to develop technical knowledge and gain practical exposure to bridge engineering activities while contributing to infrastructure projects.
Key Accountabilities
Bridge Design and Analysis:
- You will be introduced to the principles of bridge design and structural analysis under the guidance of Senior Engineers.
- You will be trained to support the development of bridge models and simulations using engineering software, learning how bridge structures behave under different loading and environmental conditions.
- You will gradually gain familiarity with bridge materials, load-bearing concepts, and design methodologies.

Project Planning:




- You will work alongside project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to understand the planning process for bridge projects.
- You will be supported in learning how project timelines, resource requirements, and budget considerations are developed and managed.
- You will have the opportunity to contribute to planning activities under supervision.

Regulatory Compliance:
- You will receive training on the applicable local, national, and international bridge design codes and standards.
- You will learn how engineering designs are reviewed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- You will be supported in understanding updates to industry standards and their application within engineering projects.

Structural Assessments:
- You will accompany experienced engineers during bridge inspections and structural assessments to learn evaluation methodologies.
