Dispatcher Transport
With 18 Distribution Centers across Europe, and two new DCs opened in Italy in the past year, Action’s logistics network keeps growing fast. Transport is a key pillar of our logistics operations. To optimize outbound transport to our stores, we have a dedicated local Transport Team led by a Team Leader Transport. The Trasnport Team works in cooperation with the Regional Transport Team, who is responsible for the financial and operational performance of transport in the region.
Join us in our DC in San Pietro in Casale and help us shape the future of transport operations. You will be working at the heart of one of Europe’s most dynamic and fastest-growing retail supply chain.
The main focus of the role is to organize the daily transport for delivering the stores out of the DC in the most efficient way, while keeping the agreed service level with the stores in combination with supporting the expedition and warehouse needs to ensure the efficient logistics in both ways. The Dispatcher Transport takes care of the daily operations (communication with Transport partners,



instructing drivers, communication with the Warehouse, daily paperwork and administration). He/she works closely together with the transport partners (2 – 3) and the warehouse employees.
Run the daily dispatch operation, where transport trips have to be dispatched to the different transport partners;
Receive arrival and departure information from transport partners and process this in the dispatch planning;
Monitor timely departure and delivery and take corrective actions in case of process disturbances (e.g. warehouse delay, late truck arrival or other delivery issues);
Communicate dock-planning and trailer returns with the warehouse colleagues;
Coordinate pre-loading activities and yard management (parking of trucks and trailers);
Hand out transport documentation and instructions to the drivers;
Monitor that transport partners comply with safety rules on site and general SOP’s (Stan
