Transport Planner
Location: Lainate, IT, 20020
Main purpose of the Role
Ensures timely, cost-effective, and reliable transportation of goods across Europe, translating supply plans into efficient transport execution while collaborating with warehouses, carriers, and customer service teams.
What you will do
- Plan and schedule transportation activities
- Coordinate with 3PLs, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouses
- Optimize transport routes, loads, and costs
- Monitor transport performance and resolve issues
- Ensure documentation and compliance (export/import instructions)
- Collaborate with Supply Planning, Customer Service, and Logistics
- Contribute to projects and process improvement
- Support sustainability goals (CO₂ optimization)
Our Perfect Candidate
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Economic fields
- 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistic, Planning
- Proficiency in English
- Experience with TMS (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle TMS)
- Excel and transport tools knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Problem‑solving mindset
- Knowledge of European transport and Incoterms
- Familiarity with shipment documentation (export declarations, T1/T2, CMR, packing lists)
- Understanding of transport cost structures and KPIs
- Experience with logistics providers
The position offers a gross annual salary starting from €32,000. Additional compensation and company benefits may also apply and will be discussed and defined during the selection process and on an individual basis.
