Scientific Project Officer - Biophysical requirements of the EU bioeconomy
The current vacancy is in the Sustainable Supply Chains and Bioeconomy Unit of Directorate Sustainable Resources of the JRC.

The Unit’s mission is to provide independent evidence in support of EU policies on the clean and green transition, such as circular economy and bioeconomy, towards sustainable and resilient supply chains.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to an important piece of the puzzle in whole bioeconomy-systems assessments: the infrastructure and energy requirements to run the EU bioeconomy. Their contribution will help understand the implications of rolling‑out bio‑based technologies to operational levels; implications of setting bio‑based targets; and trade‑offs assessments.
