Team Overview and Job Responsibilities The data officer is responsible for data management, data analytics and data governance. He/She will be responsible of:
- Lead data-driven innovation portfolio for the enterprise, including investigation, assuring data accuracy and quality- Support adoption and exploitation of artificial intelligence.- Lead strategy creation and development of new data products or services to expand markets, monetize data (directly and indirectly) and impact enterprise profitability.- Define processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new and existing data.- Oversee the development and deployment of the enterprise’s data and analytics platform for digital business.- Manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, direction, and support in their day-to-day activities- Lead regulatory and compliance programs related to data and analytics assets in collaboration with legal, compliance and assurance teams.- Collaborate with other IT teams to define the best data architecture able to ensure an efficient data collection and storage approach- Foster a data driven decision culture, promoting the use of analytics to drive efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement The key challenges for this role- Integrate with complex IT and Digital eco-system- Identify centralized infrastructure and data model suitable for different business areas and geographies- Rationalize different sources of data in a different level of maturity Who are we looking for? Essential skills and experience- Data and analytics strategy expertise: Acumen for strategic business and technology planning and execution, including policy development and maintenance.- Data literacy: For example,
the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive, business, IT and company stakeholders.- Analytics and business intelligence: For example diagnostic, descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics approaches.- Data science and AI: For example, graph analysis, machine learning and natural language processing.- Data management: For example, data integration (ETL) or metadata.- Information/data architectures: For example, the differences between data fabric, data mesh, data warehouse, data lake or data hub. Identify and manage the most important business information assets across the organization.- Data structures: For example structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.- Data and analytics governance: For example MDM, data quality and data stewardship practices. This extends into widening connected governance, which touches on data security, privacy access, and other compliance and regulatory governance practices.- Statistical skills: For example, understanding the difference between correlation and causation- Degree: STEM discipline- 5+ year covering the responsibility of a team of data analysts, data architects and/or data scientists Nice to have:
- Basic Knowledge of SAP- Knowledge of BW/4, SAP BPC,
Qlik- Experience with main cloud architectures
