The project investigates the use of recycled metals, polymers, and bio-based materials in advanced AM processes to manufacture lightweight,



high-performance robotic components while minimizing environmental impact. Particular emphasis is placed on Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), topology optimization, and digital manufacturing strategies that facilitate repair, remanufacturing, and material recovery throughout the robot lifecycle.
