ppThe bProject Engineer /b plays a central role in the successful technical execution of projects within the Catering Systems Division. The position is responsible for leading and supporting engineering and design activities across the full project lifecycle—from order intake to delivery and warranty. The Project Engineer ensures that design solutions meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and ALMACO standards, while coordinating closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers. This position requires strong technical competence, structured ways of working, and the ability to drive engineering progress in a dynamic international environment. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h31. Project Design Leadership /h3 ul lipLead design activities in close cooperation with the Design Manager and under the supervision of the Project Engineering Manager. /p /li lipCoordinate, organize, and streamline the work of the project design team. /p /li lipSupport technical decision-making, ensuring solutions align with project requirements, standards, and customer expectations. /p /li /ul h32. Engineering Planning Follow-Up /h3 ul lipPrepare and monitor engineering and design schedules, detailed design tasks, and resource plans in accordance with the master plan. /p /li lipTrack and follow up on engineering and design hours and ensure progress against targets. /p /li lipPrepare and maintain follow-up documentation aligned with weekly and monthly reporting deadlines. /p /li /ul h33. Technical Coordination Communication /h3 ul lipEnsure effective coordination with customers, suppliers,
subcontractors, and internal departments. /p /li lipOrganize and participate in internal and external technical design review meetings. /p /li lipCommunicate technical solutions clearly and proactively to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. /p /li /ul h34. Documentation Compliance /h3 ul lipEnsure all design documentation (drawings, specifications, material lists, manuals) is accurate, up to date, and compliant with project requirements and ALMACO standards. /p /li lipReport on design progress, non-conformities, risks, and customer feedback. /p /li /ul h35. Cross-Functional Support Continuous Improvement /h3 ul lipProvide technical support to Project Managers, Designers, Procurement, Production, and other functions during project execution and warranty stages. /p /li lipActively contribute to the development of processes, working methods, product standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. /p /li /ul h3Educational and competence requirements /h3 h3Technical Competence /h3 ul lipEngineering degree with strong technical understanding in relevant specialty and shipbuilding. /p /li lipAbility to read and interpret technical drawings,
