Job title: Assistant Banquet Manager – Luxury 5-Star Hotel
Location: Venice
Salary: €2200 net per month
Start: ASAP
This is a seasonal position (until 31.10.2026).
We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Banquet Manager to support the leadership of our banqueting operations. In this role, you will assist in overseeing event setup, service delivery, and team coordination to ensure seamless, high-end experiences for our discerning clientele. This is a hands-on position for a detail-oriented leader with a passion for service excellence and a talent for managing high-pressure environments with grace.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute banquets, conferences, weddings, and special events per specifications.
- Ensure timely event setup with attention to décor, table settings, AV, and thematic details.
- Supervise service staff, maintaining professionalism, timing, and guest satisfaction; serve as primary client contact.
- Lead, mentor, and train banquet team; conduct pre-event briefings and assist with scheduling.
- Develop SOPs for setup, service,



and breakdown; monitor supplies and ensure health/safety compliance.
- Coordinate with culinary team on meal service timing and presentation.
- Build client relationships, anticipate needs, liaise with vendors, and conduct post-event follow-ups.
- Prepare event orders, contracts, and invoices; maintain records; support budgeting and cost control.

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a banqueting or fine-dining service role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity within a 4- or 5-star hotel.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Service Excellence: Exceptional guest-service skills with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Communication: Fluent in English and Italian, excellent verbal and written communication.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
