We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Expert – Tissue to lead the research and development of tissue products for the European market. This is a strategic technical leadership role for a professional with deep expertise in tissue manufacturing, product development, and European quality standards. Working closely with commercial teams and manufacturing operations, you will drive product innovation, optimize performance, and support the continued growth of our Tissue Jumbo Roll business across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of tissue products for the European market.
- Develop product specifications, formulations, and technical standards.
- Benchmark competitor products and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Ensure compliance with European regulations, certifications, and quality standards.
- Partner with mills to optimize product performance, machine capability, and production efficiency.
- Provide technical support during customer trials, product evaluations, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to align product development with market needs.
- Develop value-added and premium tissue product solutions that support business growth.
- Prepare technical reports and product development recommendations for senior management.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Paper Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 year's experience in tissue manufacturing, R&D;, product development, technical service, and quality management.
- Strong understanding of European tissue market requirements, regulations, and quality standards.
- Experience working closely with manufacturing operations to improve product quality and production performance.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to translate market requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with customers and technical stakeholders.
