ASR is committed to accelerating business growth by providing customised service and innovative insurance products to enable development. Lead and review key pricing activities, including account-level pricing support, benchmark and rate-change reviews, portfolio monitoring, and identification of emerging trends. Lead the recalibration and enhancement of pricing models through robust analysis of claims and exposure data, refining pricing factors and model parameters.
Review and enhance pricing methodologies used across the business to ensure alignment with best practice,
underwriter needs, and commercial objectives. Drive improvements to pricing models and processes to increase automation, accuracy and scalability, including transformation from Excel-based tools to robust, AI-powered platforms. Deliver regular portfolio reviews and performance insights, liaising with Underwriting and management to agree actions and track outcomes.
Partner with the data team to ensure high-quality data capture to support reliable pricing and reporting. Provide technical guidance and support to Underwriters on pricing models. Undertake other reasonable duties as required, supporting wider team objectives and business priorities.
Skills &
Experience: BSc degree (or higher) in a numerical subject (e.g., 5+ years’ relevant experience in an actuarial role. ~ Advanced Excel skills, with a focus on robust model design and controls. ~ Proficiency in SQL and Python (or a similar programming language). ~ Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing, dynamic environment. ~ Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office applications. ~ Experience in general insurance pricing.
