**Main purpose of the role**
- We are looking for a new colleague to join our GRDQ Hard Boiled Candy & Lollipop team who will be responsible to identify and drive NPD projects and Technology Platforms reporting to the Sr. Development technologist with the aim to support future product and process innovations for the company. Assist in scale up and start-up of new production processes to increase the global PvM product portfolio. **The role will be based initially in Canserra (Spain), with opportunity to move to Lainate (Italy) after a period of time.** **What you will do**
- Participate in new product (and process) development, in compliance with Group & Local strategies during the whole Stage & Gate process from lab till post launch;
- Perform research on basic raw materials (existing/new) to improve current quality and organoleptic characteristics of existing product portfolio;
- Understand the characteristics and influence/interaction of the ingredients used in the specific candies to ensure stable product quality and efficiency of production process;
- Contribute in performing Competitor research following trends, CIT,
Patents to define new projects with the aim to keep PvM product portfolio future ready;
- Contribute to define technological solutions aimed to sustain the breakthrough innovation pipeline in accordance with company long term strategy;
- Transferring the Process information, Recipes, Product specifications, to the local country with the PvM tools;
- Travelling abroad for support / tests / start up if needed.
- Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Technology, Food Engineering or other scientific education;
- 2-3 years of experience as Food Technologist;
- Know-how in confectionary area;
- Know-how of raw materials and its functions;
- Good project management skills (Plan & Time)
- Good communications skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, complete tasks to deadlines;
- Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize, monitor the progress;
- Ability to work with different cultures.
