Senior Data Center Operations Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Operations Engineer to join our growing team in Milan and help shape the future of our flagship project, Colosseum, one of Europe’s most powerful AI supercomputers, currently in development.
Designed to run our proprietary AI models at scale, it forms the compute backbone behind the intelligence we deliver to the world’s most demanding industries.
To achieve the highest level of performance, datacenter infrastructure has become a tightly integrated part of supercomputers where power, cooling and the building management systems provide critical consumable resources that should be optimized like any other resource in the system to extract maximum performance in a reliable way. We also strive towards optimal responsible embedding in the local environment. Tuning the heat recovery systems to optimize for the community district heating systems and tuning the power systems to support and stabilize the local grid are critically important to deliver on our societal responsibilities.
In this role,
you will maintain the infrastructure and ensure its reliability and performance. You will respond to incidents and support troubleshooting and resolution activities when issues arise.
You will also contribute to the architecture and design of next-generation systems, helping shape future infrastructure evolution. A key part of the role involves automating processes, integrating systems, and implementing ongoing improvements and optimizations.
As a part of the team, you will stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends, actively bringing new ideas. You will collaborate closely with other team members to evaluate and implement these improvements effectively.
What You Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience as a Data Center Operations Engineer or in similar roles.
