Are you looking for your next opportunity? Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Underwriter / Underwriter in our A&H; team in Italy. Reporting to the Italian Head of A&H; and operating in alignment with the A&H; Continental Europe underwriting strategy, the Underwriter will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, including Multinational A&H; programmes. The role will also involve active participation in portfolio management activities and new product development initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement and profitability of the A&H; portfolio. - Support positioning as an increasingly important player in the local A&H; market
- Assist in the optimization of the A&H; portfolio
- Contribute to the development of the local underwriting strategy
- Establish and strengthen relationships with key brokers
- Solicit business opportunities
- Support the development of A&H; products
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Proven track record in underwriting profitable businesses
- Excellent networking and relationships skills with clients and brokers
- Sound knowledge of the local A&H; market
- Proven and in‑depth experience in underwriting Private Medical Insurance policies and/or multinational insurance programmes, considered an essential requirement to successfully perform the role with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
