We are seeking an experienced **Accountant** with expertise in the **French market**to join a multinational company**.** **Ideal profile**: - Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general or tax accounting;
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards and French laws and regulations;
- High attention to detail and accuracy;
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
- Advanced knowledge of SAP, with experience in ERP and digital tool implementation and process analysis;
- Fluent in Italian, English, and French;
- Domicile near the company headquarters.
- Monitor day-to-day financial operations within the company;
- Oversee automated processes for sales, purchases, AR, AP;
- Manage non-trade accounts payables and prime entries;
- Prepare financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and perform monthly reconciliations;
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in accordance with French and US GAAP;
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and recording transactions;
- Manage cash flow, reporting, and support payment preparation;




- Liaise with tax authorities for audits and special requests;
- Maintain and review financial records, including the Fixed Assets Ledger;
- Ensure compliance with French accounting standards, tax laws, and reporting deadlines;
- Perform intercompany and bank reconciliations;
- Manage general accounting and VAT returns in collaboration with local tax and legal consultants, ensuring accurate VAT and taxable income calculations, VAT reports, Journal Book, and other government filings;
- Collaborate with auditors to resolve accounting issues promptly;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and finance practices;
- Analyze new transactions and document appropriate accounting treatments under French and US GAAP;
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls;
- Support ad hoc projects;
