Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator , currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over16 GW ofsolar PV,onshore wind ,offshore wind andstorage projects across10 markets in Europe. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the company’s engineering team across the development and deliveryof utility-scale renewable energy projects.
This person will be based in ouroffice in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working) and report to the EPC Director. What you’ll do Act as the EPC Director’s key technical partner, supporting strategic and operationaldecisions across the project portfolio. Oversee engineering activities throughout the fullproject lifecycle, from early-stage development and feasibility throughprocurement, construction, commissioning and operations.
Review and approve technical studies, layouts,designs, energy-yield assessments and risk analyses, ensuring quality,consistency and compliance with applicable standards. Play a central role in site engineeringactivities for utility-scale renewable energy projects, supporting bothpre-construction and construction phases, ensuring that technical design, siteconstraints and constructability requirements are properly integrated intoproject execution. Work closely with Development, Procurement, Construction, Investment, Legal and Asset Management teams to support projectdelivery, financing and divestment.
Lead the technical aspects of tenders, bidevaluations, equipment selection and support the negotiations with EPCcontractors, consultants and suppliers. Lead, manage and develop the engineering team,defining priorities, responsibilities,
technical standards and ways of working.
Requirements Whatyou’ll need Bachelor's or Master’s degreein Engineering (Electrical Engineering will be considered a plus). At least 8 years of experiencein renewable energy engineering and project delivery, with strong exposure toutility-scale solar PV. Strong knowledge of therenewable energy project lifecycle, including development, design, procurement,construction and commissioning.
Experience with technical duediligence, tender processes, contractor selection and EPC or equipment supplynegotiations. Full professional proficiencyin English; Italian or other European languages will be considered anadvantage. 85,000- 95,000 € gross annual total compensation package, composed of fixed grossannual salary (RAL) and annual performance premio, based on experience, skillsand role responsibilities.
