Prysmian is looking for a Quality Engineer to work in the Bishopstoke factory within manufacturing of power and telecommunication cable accessories. As a Quality Engineer, you will have a broad range of responsibilities to ensure that products and processes meet quality standards, customer expectations and relevant regulatory requirements. The role involves monitoring, testing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and repeatability as well as working on reducing variations and cost of poor quality.

Developing and maintaining quality control plans and procedures. Managing customer quality claims, including intercompany issues. Managing internal quality non‑conformities. Support managing supplier quality issues.

Monitoring quality KPIs such as COPQ, number of customer claims, time to close quality investigations. Analysing quality data to identify data‑driven improvement opportunities. Maintaining and updating quality management system documentation, in coordination with the UK Quality Management System Manager.

Ensuring all tests and inspections on raw materials, components and finished products are conducted. Lead by example to enhance and promote quality culture. Managing a team of quality inspectors. An experienced senior quality engineer with a hands‑on and can‑do attitude, able to drive improvement projects in a fast‑pace manufacturing environment.

Someone with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to details, proficient in quality standards, test methodologies and statistical analysis tools.



We are looking for a senior quality professional with an educational background in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent work experience in quality in a manufacturing environment; Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification is advantageous.
