YOUR ROLE At Palo IT, Forward Deployed Engineers are expected to beAI-Native by default and act astechnical authorities for their teams and projects. As aForward Deployed Engineer , you will own the technical direction andproject executionfor engineering teams while actively embedding AI and Generative AI into how teams work by default. Working closely with clients, project teams, and business stakeholders, you willshepherd technical decision-making and providethought-leadership through both traditional development practices and AI-augmented workflows.
You will apply Palo IT'sGen-E2methodology to drive quality, speed, and responsible AI adoption across projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Delivery Ownership Own the technical direction and roadmap for engineering projects. Provide full-stackexpertise to the engineering team andestablishbest practices on code quality and performance. Provide architecture-level and code-level feedback for the engineering team.
Build confidence in project delivery through automated testing,
continuous integration,monitoringand analytics. Monitor project progress anddeliveryquality across teams. Ensuretimelines, outcomes, and engineering standards are met.
AI-Native & Gen-E2 Leadership (Core Expectation) Champion AI-Native ways of working across the team, including AI-assisted development, testing, and documentation. Define and enforce AI/Gen AI best practices , including: Prompt and context engineering standards Output validation, guardrails, and fallback strategies Code review standards for AI-generated code Stay current with emerging Gen AI trends and tools and translate them into practical, value-driven implementations. Act as a technical authority and coach on Gen-E2 practices andresponsible AI/Gen AI adoption.
People
Leadership & Team Management Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver high-quality code and projects. Providetechnical guidance, coaching, and career development planning for team members. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and learning-driven culture .
Recruit and build high-performing engineering teams. Consulting, Clients & Growth Collaborate with clients to understand business problems, design solutions, and lead implementation. Partner with Sales and Presales teams to shape proposals, solution approaches, and contribute to technical responses and estimations.
Support
Palo ITthought leadership through research, experimentation, and publication. Must-Have Experience 10+ years of hands-on software developmentexperienceincludingrecent experiencein client and team management . Proven experienceleading and mentoring engineering teams . Preferred technologies includeReact JS for frontend development andNode JS/Java/Python for backend development.
Experience in developingscalable, reliable, and secure applications .
Experience withsolution architecture . Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills . Demonstrated use ofAI tools in day-to-day engineering work (not just theoretical exposure). AI-Native & Gen-E2 Skills (Required) Hands-on, daily use of AI coding assistants (Git Hub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent).
Strong grasp ofprompt and context engineering for engineering workflows. Proven experience defining and enforcing Gen AI best practices across teams. Ability tocoach and mentor teams on effective and responsible AI tool usage.
Critical thinking tovalidateand verify AI-generated code and solutions. Good to Have Experience with any emerging technologies (Decentralised Identity, Realtime-cross border payment, Quantum computing, Advanced Smart Contract etc..).
Experience withAI/ML services and frameworks .
Experience withcloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Mobile development experience (Swift for i OS, Android, native or hybrid).
Certification in Claude AI (Anthropic) is a plus.
