ph3Job Description English Nursey Teacher /h3pPurpose of Role Mile School in Milan is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic English-speaking Nursery Teacher to join our Early Years team. The purpose of a nursery teacher position is to support the overall growth and development of young children by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a warm, stimulating and engaging learning environment for young children, supporting their emotional, social and educational development through play-based activities conducted in English. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport Classroom Instruction. Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, learning activities, and educational games that align with the preschool curriculum. /liliSupervise and Engage Children. Monitor children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and outdoor play to ensure safety and promote positive behavior. /liliAssist with Behavior Management. Reinforce classroom rules and help guide children in developing appropriate social and emotional skills. /liliPrepare Learning Materials. Help set up and organize classroom materials, resources, and displays to support hands-on learning and creativity. /liliMaintain a Safe and Clean Environment. Ensure classroom spaces are clean, organized, and free from hazards; assist with sanitizing toys, surfaces, and equipment. /liliProvide Individualized Support. Offer one-on-one or small group assistance to children who need extra help with activities or emotional support. /liliObserve and Report. Observe children's development and behavior; communicate concerns or notable progress to the lead teacher. /liliSupport Routines and Transitions. Help children with daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals, and rest time,



fostering independence and consistency. /liliEncourage Positive Interaction. Model respectful, inclusive, and cooperative behavior to promote a positive classroom culture. /liliCollaborate with Team Members. Work closely with the lead teacher and other staff to ensure consistency in teaching practices and childcare. /li /ulh3Skills /h3ulliPatience and empathy – Ability to respond calmly and kindly to young children /liliStrong communication skills – With both children and adults (teachers, parents) /liliTeamwork – Collaborative mindset and willingness to follow guidance /liliObservation skills – Able to recognize developmental milestones or concerns /liliCreativity and enthusiasm – Engaging children through play and learning /liliOrganizational skills – Managing materials, routines, and tasks efficiently /liliAdaptability – Comfortable adjusting to changes in schedule or child needs /liliCultural sensitivity – Respectful and inclusive of all backgrounds and abilities /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor´s Degree in Education or equivalent (required) /liliRelevant teaching/early childhood education qualification /liliExperience working with nursery-aged children /liliNative or fluent English speaker /liliInternational qualifications that may be eligible for recognition in Italy are welcome. /liliExperience: Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting (preferred)
