We are looking for a pragmatic and business-oriented Legal Counsel. The candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal support at the corporate level, with a particular focus on drafting and negotiating contracts, while also offering legal advice on intellectual property, privacy and data protection, and compliance matters.

The ideal candidate is passionate about emerging technologies, has a proactive attitude, a solid understanding of international law, and is fluent in English. This role involves ensuring that all legal operations comply with both local and global regulations, working closely with various departments to support the international expansion of the company's products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide general legal advice for international business operations.
- Draft,



review and negotiate commercial and technological contracts, including those related to supplies, licenses, and strategic partnerships.
- Advise and support on intellectual property related issues.
- Assist with privacy and data protection, focusing on GDPR compliance and global data protection regulations.
- Support legal and regulatory compliance activities in the IT sector.
- Collaborate with international teams to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance in all markets where the company operates.

Requirements:

- Law degree.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably as an in-house lawyer at an international company with a focus on technology, or in a law firm specializing in IT and IP law.
- Advanced expertise in intellectual property protection, privacy, and data protection.
- Excellent knowledge of national and international regulations related to the technology sector.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Ability to work in dynamic and international environments.
- Interest in developing as a broad in-house legal generalist.
- Strong ability to build processes and structured ways of working.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Willingness to occasionally travel internationally

This is a full-time, permanent position based in sed Apta's headquarters in Genoa, Italy.
