Beyond managing payroll, compliance, and taxes, we integrate financial tools to maximise the value of every work payment, worldwide.We are expanding our global team and looking for a Junior Payroll Specialist to bring their wider knowledge and help us get our product and service more widely known and used.Would you like to take on a new challenge in the field of finance in a successful, fast-growing global start-up?Location: RemoteSalary Range: FlexibleAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a Junior Payroll Specialist to join our international Payroll team, with a primary focus on Italian payroll.You’ll support the end-to-end payroll process for our international clients, working closely with experienced payroll colleagues, local partners, clients, and internal teams. Your goal will be to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while developing your payroll knowledge and expertise.Responsibilities:Payroll processing: Support end-to-end payroll activities for multiple clients, primarily in Italy, and help ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on time,Payroll inputs: Collect, review, validate, and enter monthly payroll data and employee changes,Payroll checks: Review payroll calculations and reports, identify discrepancies, and work with senior team members or local payroll partners to resolve them,Reporting & record-keeping: Prepare and reconcile payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records,Compliance: Develop your knowledge of Italian payroll, tax, social security,
and employment-related requirements and support compliance with local regulations,Client support: Respond to payroll-related questions and support clients throughout the monthly payroll cycle,Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with Customer Experience, Accounting, Operations, and other internal teams to collect information and resolve payroll-related issues,Continuous improvement: Support improvements to payroll processes, documentation, automation, and ways of working.Requirements:Payroll experience: Previous experience with Italian payroll is preferred; we are also open to candidates at the beginning of their payroll career who have a strong interest in developing in this area,Education: Background or knowledge in economics, accounting, finance, HR, or a related field,Italian payroll knowledge: Basic understanding of Italian payroll concepts would be an advantage,Technical skills: Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel,Language skills: Good written and spoken English; Italian language skillsare highly desirable,Attention to detail: Comfortable working with numbers and able to identify inconsistencies or errors,Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities,Learning mindset: Willingness to learn,
