including:Project and programme managementLicensingRadioactive waste managementRadiation protectionDecommissioning and nuclear engineeringWorksite management and safetyNon-nuclear engineeringFacility supervision and quality assuranceJob PurposeProvide technical expertise for the management of radioactive waste arising from decommissioning activities at JRC facilities.

Support the development and implementation of waste management strategies in compliance with Italian, EU, and IAEA regulations and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesWaste Management PlanningDevelop and implement radioactive waste management strategies.Support waste minimisation and waste hierarchy initiatives.Prepare waste treatment, conditioning, packaging, transport, and disposal plans.Coordinate interfaces between decommissioning and waste management activities.Waste CharacterisationDefine waste characterization programmes.Assess radiological and chemical inventories.Review sampling and analysis methodologies, and non-destructive testing requirements.Review
