**Job Level**: Band 2 We are currently hiring for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team! If you're passionate about troubleshooting, resolving IT issues, and providing excellent customer support, we want to hear from you. **Key Responsibilities**: - Provide first and second-level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
- Work with third-party vendors to address complex AV issues.
- Maintain timely communication regarding issue status and resolution.
- Update and track incidents in the ticketing system.
- Basic knowledge of Mac operating systems to support Apple PC users.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware.
- Perform general preventive maintenance on computers, laptops, and printers.
- Carry out remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot network connectivity issues and workstation hardware/software problems.
- Maintain a broad understanding of IT, including networks, servers, audio/visual equipment, smart devices, and telecom systems.
- Work in a project-based environment, requiring flexibility and teamwork.
- Provide mentorship and assistance to Band 1 technicians and support Band 3 engineers in resolving tickets. **Required Qualifications & Skills**: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or higher.
- Minimum of 18 months of IT support experience.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows 7-10, Microsoft Active Directory, GPOs, MS Office 365, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Enterprise anti-virus solutions and Helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of mobile device management (iOS and Android), enterprise encryption, and Windows PC/laptop management via Active Directory.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and meet SLAs.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and internal customer service skills.
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced work environment.
