Claims Adjuster

Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in investigating and handling claims through a proactive, best‑practice approach in line with AIG’s quality standards.
- Actively promote and demonstrate the principles of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ in all claims handling activities.
- Identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims regularly, responding in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain regular contact with internal stakeholders, brokers, medical experts, clients’ lawyers, victims and their legal representatives.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external customers, acting as a point of referral.
- Support Team Managers and deputize in their absence, including monitoring market and industry practices in claims handling.
- Collaborate with underwriting colleagues to provide insights from claims experience that help improve products.
Qualifications
- Experience in negotiation,
mediation, and arbitration.
- Strong policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
- Lateral thinking and the ability to problem‑solve and develop new ideas to improve working practices.
- Excellent communication, time‑management, administrative, and report‑writing skills.
