In the role of Assistant Financial Controller at Belmond Sicily, you will play a crucial part within the Finance department, supporting the Financial Controller in the management and oversight of Grand Hotel Timeo and Villa Sant'Andrea financial operations. Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting the Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Supporting budget management and forecasting activities, analyzing variances, and providing recommendations.
- Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Collaborating on general ledger management, ensuring the correct recording of financial transactions.
- Participating in month-end and year-end closing procedures,



including account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.
- Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard hotel assets.
- Preparing financial analyses and providing support to various departments for strategic decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with company financial policies, as well as local and international regulations.

Requirements
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) in a financial role, preferably within the luxury hospitality sector.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial control procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial management systems (PMS/ERP).
- Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoke
