POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior/Principal Application Engineer will drive the development of reference designs and application boards with a strong focus on Industrial motor-control and motor-drive applications that showcase Nexperia’s portfolio. This position is part of our System and Application Team and plays a critical role in bridging product development and customer requirements by translating device capabilities into practical, production ready hardware solutions
The role is central to enabling customer adoption and accelerating time-to-market through high-quality design collaterals, hands-on validation and technical support
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main Responsibility
- Design, develop, and validate reference designs and application boards using Nexperia’s discrete, analog, and power IC solutions
- Create schematics, perform component selection, and collaborate on PCB layout to optimize performance, efficiency, cost, thermal behavior, and reliability
- Perform comprehensive electrical, thermal, and system-level validation, including efficiency analysis,
switching characterization, transient response testing, thermal profiling, and EMI/EMC pre-compliance evaluation and troubleshooting
- Provide application-focused technical support to customers and sales teams by troubleshooting designs, supporting design-in activities, participating in customer engagements, and representing Nexperia at workshops, conferences, and exhibitions
- Create and maintain high-quality technical collateral such as application notes, design guides, simulation models, user manuals, and web-based application content
- Build deep application expertise and translate customer insights into future product opportunities by collaborating with marketing, R&D;, and system architects to define requirements, identify use cases, and contribute to product roadmap development
SKILLS /COMPETENCIES
- Education/ studies: Bachelor Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
