Major Account Manager – Central Government (SASE / SecOps Specialist)
Location: Rome, Italy
Fortinet is seeking a highly motivated Major Account Manager to drive growth across central government organisations, with a particular focus on SASE, SecOps and modern cybersecurity transformation initiatives.
This is a direct quota-carrying sales role responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and managing complex enterprise sales cycles. The successful candidate will act as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to government stakeholders, helping organisations address evolving security challenges through integrated security solutions.
We are looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional with a strong understanding of cybersecurity trends, particularly around SASE, Zero Trust, Security Operations and cloud security. Experience selling into government environments is highly valued, as is the ability to engage with senior business, technical and security stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities




• Own and develop strategic central government accounts, driving new business and expanding Fortinet’s footprint
• Develop and execute account strategies aligned to government cybersecurity priorities and digital transformation programmes
• Identify and progress opportunities related to SASE, SecOps, Zero Trust, cloud security and network security transformation
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across government organisations, including C-level, security leadership, infrastructure teams and technical decision makers
• Manage the complete sales cycle from opportunity creation through to negotiation and closure
• Develop pipeline through proactive account development, stakeholder engagement and strategic opportunity creation
• Lead and coordinate internal resources including System Engineers, specialist teams and channel partners
• Manage complex RFP, tender and procurement processes in collaborati
