Join Schindler as a Mechanical Engineer – Interior Design (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Interior Design to strengthen our R&D; Mechanical Engineering team.

In this role,



you will act as a technical specialist responsible for the mechanical integration, precision and perceived quality of interior components, ensuring that all elements inside the elevator cabin are aligned, robust and compliant with quality expectations.

You will work on components such as panels, handrails, mirrors, ceilings, lighting frames, skirting and interfaces, ensuring consistent gaps, alignment and high‑quality execution from design to validation.

Location: Milan, Lombardy, Italy (Hybrid: 1 day/week working from home)

Your Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer – Interior Design, you will contribute to the development and validation of interior mechanical solutions.

Your responsibilities include:
- Providing technical solutions and design concepts for the integration of interior components, ensuring alignment, consistent gaps and premium fit & finish
