Context of the Position
As part of our strategic international expansion, JD Logistics is establishing its core infrastructure within the Italian market. This is a critical greenfield deployment phase, which requires our founding leadership team to manage high operational fluidity, establish local processes from the ground up, and translate centralized global capabilities into localized execution.
This position is designed for an accomplished, heavy-volume logistics professional specializing in high-speed hub cross-docking and sorting operations. The role requires a strategic manager who can master automated parcel processing networks, lead large floor teams through intensive sorting windows, and enforce flawless structural execution under strict network deadlines.
The Mission & Core Scope
- The Mission: Take end-to-end operational, financial, and strategic ownership of our brand-new regional Sorting Center in the Milan area, ensuring an on-time facility launch, high-efficiency parcel processing, and accurate network injection.
- The Scope: You will take full accountability for the entire sorting hub layout—including inbound linehaul reception, high-speed automated sorting conveyor belt operations, cross-docking matrix management, and outbound station injection.
