About the Role We are looking for a Business Development Manager based in Milano. This is a rare opportunity to become a founding and important member of a growing, well‐funded company. You'll collaborate with Italy's most premium and regarded restaurants. As a member of the regional sales team, you will report to the Sales Lead and your role will focus on developing new relationships with restaurants and stores. What You'll Be Doing * Map, prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across your region in an organised fashion, becoming an area‐level expert, including knowing the up‐and‐coming restaurants and which restaurants customers crave most. * Support partners in joining Deliveroo, providing the best experience to them. * Communicate with restaurants through physical visits, email, calls, or social media to demonstrate Deliveroo technology. * Help restaurant owners/managers overcome any barriers or hesitations. * Attend restaurant and food meet‐ups. Requirements * You must be comfortable targeting new business and have sales experience.
* The job requires confidence or experience dealing with partners/customers, face‐to‐face, through phone or email. * Experience in demonstrating product and industry knowledge to clients. * You should be comfortable with negotiations. * Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus. * You need to be tenacious.
