Job Summary
As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the
cleanliness and biosecurity of our processing facilities. Your efforts directly
support our mission to produce safe, high-quality eggs and ensure compliance
with food safety standards. This role is essential to maintaining daily
operations and preparing the facility for continuous production.
Essential Job Functions
* Assist in the packaging and stacking of eggs during production hours
* Clean processing machines and surrounding areas during downtime using
approved safety procedures (e.g., Lockout/Tagout)
* Sanitize processing areas using high-pressure water hoses and approved
cleaning chemicals
* Transport waste to disposal areas and maintain cleanliness of work zones
* Follow biosecurity and sanitation protocols strictly
* Perform daily and deep-cleaning tasks as assigned
* Comply with all company policies,
including food safety, safety, and animal
welfare standards
* Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
* 0-2 years of relevant experience
* Familiarity with sanitation procedures and cleaning chemicals
* Basic mechanical aptitude to clean, reset, and perform minor maintenance on
equipment
* Understanding of basic preventive maintenance principles and practices
* Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and
equipment care
* Physical stamina to lift, carry, and stand for long periods
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
* Basic troubleshooting skills for common equipment issues
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
* Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
* Basic understanding of preventive maintenance concepts
