Description The Opportunity Hitachi Energy is seeking candidates to work as a part of the Global Product Group (GPG) Power Transformers. The Global Product Specialist (GPS) will work directly with the Global Product Manager (GPM) for Industrial & Specialty (I&S;) Transformers and collaborate with our worldwide network of R&D; centers, and local business teams to capture and translate customer requirements into improvements of existing solutions and set the directions for new product developments. It is an opportunity for transformer engineering and R&D; experts to apply their knowledge to help customers with demanding applications and be part of joint development of new solutions for the changing electrical grid. Additionally, the work will require participation in technical meetings, international standards development, and contributing and developing the industry knowledge on power transformer technology. The GPS as part of the team and in his role will be accountable to ensure competitiveness of products,
strong value differentiation and technological leadership for the converter transformers and their related applications with focus on customer satisfaction and profitable growth. How you will make an impact You will analyze market situation by following and understanding international standards, market & customer requirements, and their impact on the portfolio. You will conduct competitor analyses including identification of technical product gaps and with a high focus on competitiveness opportunities while evaluating the portfolio position. You will manage the technical specifications of Industrial and Specialty Power transformers and support Global Product Manager in developing business cases for product developments, transfer of technologies, maintenance, and competitiveness with a high focus on Renewable Power Generation Transformers and on Variable Frequency Drive Transformers.
