The cost consultant / quantity surveyor manages all costs relating to hospitality, data center, logistics, residential sector project. Its primary role is to estimate and monitor costs from the initial planning stage through to completion of a project including preparation of budget, cost plans, BOQs, tender evaluation, valuation of contractor’s payment ensuring projects are completed within budget.
This role requires experience in cost consulting in electro-mechanical (MEP) pricing for building, data center, logistics project.
This is a full-time position, location in Treviso, Italy.
As a Cost Consultant - Quantity Surveyor your core duties will involve:
Budget preparation and capex review during feasibility stage.
Preparing bills of quantities for contractors to price during the tender process.
Negotiating and managing contracts between clients and contractors.
Advise on contractual and procurement strategy
Lead tender stage including managing tender process, tender analysis, and recommendation of most suitable contractor for the projects.
Monitoring costs during construction stage to ensure the project remains within budget.
Approval of contractors payment application.
Advising on tax depreciation schedules and life cycle costing of buildings.
Resolving disputes between contractors and clients regarding costs.
Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects.
Providing support to the project lead, project manager or senior cost manager.
Representing the Company in a professional and diligent manner; Bachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying, Construction Economics, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Both Italian and English advanced level is required
A minimum of three to five years’ technical delivery experience as economist/QS/cost consultant, with experience in pricing electro-mechanical works.
Experience in MEP pricing, suppliers contacts, administrative understanding for permitting
