ph3Description /h3pThe staff accountant is responsible for supporting the CFO and other finance staff members. This position performs a multitude of accounting activities including accounts receivable, credit management, accounts payable and month-end reconciliations. The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. A working knowledge of office processes and related computer software and electronic communication tools is essential, as is the ability to communicate with all levels of staff.? /ph3Specific Responsibilities and Accountability /h3ulliVarious accounts receivable functions including receipts, cash application, invoice posting, collections and credit management /liliVarious accounts payable functions including invoice entry,
purchase order matching and payment processing /liliAudit employee expense reports /liliVarious month-end close reconciliations /liliAssist with sales tax compliance and filings /liliAssist with internal and external financial and tax audit and examination processes /liliAssists with ERP system management and reoccurring procedures /liliAssist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department /liliOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The team member is expected to work in other areas of the accounting department when needed to assist operations and perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description. /li /ulh3Experience Skills /h3ulliDistribution and/or manufacturing background preferred /lili1-3 years of relevant experience preferred /liliStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook /liliExperience working with ERP systems preferred /li /ulh3Education /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred /li /ulh3Compensation Benefits /h3pThis is an hourly position commensurate with experience.
