This is not a pure analysis role. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, validating, and delivering flight hardware, working across the full engineering lifecycle in a fast‑moving development environment. You'll have significant ownership over major launch vehicle structures and work alongside propulsion, manufacturing, test, integration, and systems teams to bring hardware from CAD to the launch pad. The company is led by engineers from some of the world's leading space organizations and is building a culture around rapid development, hardware ownership, and practical engineering. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liOwn major structural hardware from concept through flight qualification. /li liTranslate system requirements into lightweight, manufacturable structural designs. /li liDesign primary load‑bearing structures and develop efficient load paths. /li liPerform structural sizing using both first‑principles calculations and finite element analysis. /li liDevelop joints, interfaces, and structural layouts for highly loaded aerospace hardware. /li liCorrelate analysis with physical test data and continuously improve designs. /li liWork closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical and producible. /li liSupport hardware throughout fabrication, assembly, testing, anomaly resolution, and design iteration.
/li liDrive material selection and manufacturing decisions balancing performance, cost, schedule, and reliability. /li liParticipate in design reviews and help establish engineering standards and structural design philosophy. /li liMentor other engineers and contribute technically across the structures team. /li /ul h3Required Experience /h3 ul li7+ years of structural engineering experience within aerospace or another high‑performance engineering industry. /li liStrong experience designing primary or highly loaded structural hardware. /li liExcellent understanding of:ul liStrength of materials /li liStructural mechanics /li liBuckling /li liFatigue /li liFracture mechanics /li liStructural dynamics /li liLoad paths /li /ul /li liExperience taking hardware from concept through manufacturing, testing, and qualification. /li liStrong finite element analysis (FEA) capability alongside solid first‑principles engineering. /li liHands‑on experience supporting manufactured hardware. /li liExperience working closely with manufacturing and test engineers.Comfortable working in a fast‑paced engineering environment with significant ownership. /li /ul h3Highly Desirable /h3 ul liLaunch vehicle structures /li liRocket propulsion structures /li liThrust frames /li liPropellant tanks /li liPressure vessels /li liInterstages /li liFairings /li liCryogenic structures /li liThin‑walled shell structures /li liWelded tanks /li liDomes /li liRing frames /li liEngine support structures /li /ul h3Additional Experience With /h3 ul liMetallic aerospace structures /li liMachined components /li liWeldments /li liBonded structures /li liStructural testing (proof, burst, modal, vibration, acoustic) /li liRapid design‑build‑test engineering environments /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
