ph3Role Overview /h3pAs the Commissioning Project Lead, you will be pivotal in overseeing the safe, timely, and efficient design, installation, and commissioning of critical systems and IT infrastructure within data centre environments.
/ppThis challenging position requires excellent leadership and organisational skills to manage services on and off-site, providing direction to ProjectManagers, Supervisors, and various sub-contractors as needed.
/ph3Primary Responsibilities: /h3pAs the Commissioning Project Lead, your key responsibilities will include: /ph3Design Phase /h3ulliAuthoring and reviewing the Owner's Project Requirements, Basis of Design, and commissioning documents.
/liliDrafting the Commissioning Plan and Programme, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
/liliLeading the Commissioning Agent Kick-Off Meeting, facilitating collaboration and understanding among stakeholders.
/liliCompiling a comprehensive project directory, ensuring all relevant information is documented and easily accessible.
/li /ulh3Construction Phase /h3ulliLeading Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 Commissioning Workshops, fostering teamwork and efficient execution of commissioning tasks.
/liliAttending Factory and Field Witness Tests, overseeing the process, and producing related reports to ensure compliance with project specifications.
/liliDeveloping Commissioning Checklists for electrical, mechanical, monitoring, and safety systems, guaranteeing thorough and systematic assessments.
/liliDrafting Level 4 Test Scripts and Site Observation Reports, documenting observations accurately and providing clear action plans.
/liliConducting weekly commissioning and client meetings, maintaining effective communication channels throughout construction.
/liliManaging and updating the Commissioning Tracker, ensuring all commissioning activities are tracked and progress is well-monitored.
/li /ulh3Acceptance Phase /h3ulliOverseeing Level 4 Commissioning across various systems, coordinating with project teams to resolve any issues promptly.
/liliCollating and presenting Level 4 Commissioning data and preparing comprehensive reports for project stakeholders.
/liliDrafting Level 5 Test Scripts and leading the Pre-Integrated Systems Testing Meeting, ensuring a smooth transition to the final commissioning phase.
/liliCoordinating Level 5 Commissioning and producing the preliminary report, highlighting successes, and identifying areas for improvement.
/li /ulh3Handover Phase: /h3ulliCoordinating system training data collection, ensuring end-users receive the necessary training for efficient system operation.
/liliReviewing Operations Maintenance procedures, validating their completeness and accuracy.
/liliLeading the "Lessons Learnt Workshop," facilitating a constructive discussion to identify valuable insights for future projects.
/liliDelivering the Final Commissioning Report, summarising the commissioning process and outcomes to support the successful handover of the project.
/li /ulh3Qualifications and Experience /h3ulliCompletion of trade apprenticeship or qualifications – Essential /liliBEng (Hons) in an engineering discipline or equivalent – Essential /liliCSCS / Safe Pass / ECS / SMSTS holder – Essential /liliHNC – Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services - Essential /liliPrince 2 or equivalent – Desirable /li /ulpWe will fully support those candidates who have the potential to achieve the above through further education, CPD, and mentoring.
