Founding DevOps / Platform Engineer
Compensation: €50,000 - €60,000 + Equity
Bologna, Italy. Full-time. On-site presence required. This is not a fully remote position.

Liablix is an innovative startup transforming how road accidents are reconstructed and analyzed. Today, claims management is slow, opaque, and prone to fraud. We want to make it precise, fast, and automated; powered by AI.
We work at the intersection of computer vision, 3D reconstruction, and generative models to analyze vehicle damages, crash dynamics, and liability. It's a massive market, and we're convinced that the next insurtech unicorn will be born here.

Our platform runs heavy 3D reconstruction and deep learning workloads on sensitive insurance data. We're looking for a Founding DevOps / Platform Engineer to build the infrastructure that makes this fast, secure, and scalable, and to own it as the company grows 10x.
What You’ll Do
- Design and own our cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), from networking to GPU clusters for training and inference.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for backend, mobile, and ML workloads, so we can ship to production in minutes.
- Stand up MLOps foundations: experiment tracking, model registry, automated deployment and monitoring of CV models.
- Implement observability, incident response, and cost optimization. GPU bills are real money at our stage.
- Own security and compliance (GDPR, insurance-grade data handling): secrets, access control, audit trails.
- Be the technical partner of every engineer on the team and automate away their repetitive work.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years in DevOps/SRE/platform roles, ideally in fast-growing product companies.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Terraform (IaC), and at least one major cloud (AWS or GCP).
- Experience running GPU/ML workloads in production is a strong plus.
- Solid grasp of security fundamentals and handling sensitive data.
- Automation obsession: if you did it twice by hand, you script it the third time.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you treat infrastructure as a product.
- Being a genius is a strong plus.

- Competitive salary (RAL): €50,000 - €60,000 annually.
- Equity: meaningful stake (indicatively 0.3% - 0.5%) in stock options with standard 4-year vesting (1-year cliff). Under the Italian innovative-startup regime, options are exempt from income tax and you only pay capital gains when you sell.
