About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our international team. In this role, you will manage and optimise PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB databases across on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
You will be working in a multinational environment, supporting enterprise-scale systems and contributing to cloud migration and automation initiatives.
Your responsibilities
- Provide L3 support for PostgreSQL / MySQL / MariaDB environments (on-prem & cloud)
- Diagnose and resolve performance and availability issues
- Maintain and upgrade database environments and clusters
- Manage high availability and replication solutions
- Perform database migrations (on-prem → cloud)
- Automate DBA activities using Python, Ansible, or Terraform
- Manage backup and restore processes (e.g. Barman, Networker)
- Support database provisioning and deployments
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers
- Create and maintain technical documentation (HLD / LLD)
What we expect
- 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB administration (on-prem)
- 3+ years of experience in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Experience with:
- PostgreSQL / MySQL clusters and tools (pgbouncer, pgpool, HAProxy)
- Database backup and recovery
- Database installation, upgrades (minor & major)
- Data migration tools (pgdump, pg_restore, mysqldump, etc.)
- Knowledge of monitoring and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with replication and HA solutions
- Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery) and continuous archiving
- Cloud certifications (Azure AZ-900, AWS CCP, GCP Digital Leader)
- Python certification (PCEP)
- EDB PostgreSQL certification
