OOCL (ITALY) SRL is a Shipping Agency part of the OOCL Group based in Hong Kong one of most important global carrier worldwide specialized in containerized maritime transport between the Far East, Europe, the United States and Australia.

Due to the retirement of a staff resource, we are looking for 1

Senior Accountant

Contract term: Regular

Work location: Genoa

and responsibilities:

The senior accountant should

- Record AP, AA, GL, Payroll data and accounting accruals on monthly basis;
- Grant the correct monthly management, closure and balancing of accounts, also through relationships with the Head Quarter representatives and the Auditors of the Company;
- Take care of local payments and cash flow management, further to bank reconciliations;
- Support the preparation of Annual Accounts in compliance with local GAAP;

And be:
- Responsible to predispose all Italian tax reporting due to local tax authorities, liaising with external tax consultants to prepare the VAT, WHT and CIT returns;
- Responsible in drafting some parts of the corporate reporting package.

The senior accountant reports directly to FINCON Manager.





Knowlagent required:

- graduates in finance, accounting, economics and/or with an accounting diploma;
- 5 years of experience minimum in similar position in international companies;
- a good level of spoken and written English is required;
- solid knowledge of Italian Standards Accounts. IAS/IFRS is a plus;
- good knowledge of main Italian taxes legislations;
- knowledge of SAP, preferable S4/HANA version.
