ppThe Packaging Engineer is responsible for developing, qualifying, and managing all raw material packaging sourced from external suppliers and packaging for intercompany shipments. This role ensures that packaging materials meet technical specifications, quality standards, sustainability goals, operational and legal requirements. The engineer collaborates closely with suppliers, procurement, quality, SCM, logistics and production teams to optimize packaging performance, cost, and reliability. /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop and maintain technical specifications for all raw material packaging and intercompany packaging (e.g., films, cartons, labels, pallets, liners, bags) /li liEvaluate packaging materials for performance, durability, compliance, and compatibility with production equipment /li liLead packaging trials, testing, and validation activities /li liSupport new product introductions and packaging changes by defining requirements and ensuring supplier readiness /li liReview and approve supplier documentation (technical data sheets, drawings) /li liConduct supplier capability assessments and support qualification processes /li liInvestigate packaging-related quality issues and lead root‑cause analysis with suppliers /li liCollaborate with Quality Assurance to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) /li liIdentify opportunities to reduce packaging costs through material optimization, design changes, or supplier improvements /li liSupport sustainability initiatives such as lightweighting, recyclability,
and waste reduction /li liProvide technical support for packaging planning, inventory management, and supplier performance reviews /li /ul h3Your Qualifications Skills /h3 ul liBachelor’s / Master’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field /li liSeveral years of experience in packaging engineering within manufacturing, FMCG, pharma, or industrial sectors /li liStrong knowledge of packaging materials, converting processes, and packaging equipment /li liFamiliarity with quality systems, testing standards, and regulatory requirements /li liProficiency with CAD tools, packaging testing equipment, and ERP systems /li liExperience working directly with external packaging suppliers /li liKnowledge of sustainability frameworks and eco-design principles /li liExperience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies /li liStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts, assertively push projects forward, and build constructive relationships /li liLanguage skills: fluent in English and Italian, knowledge of German is advantageous /li /ul h3OUR COMMITMENT /h3 ul liInnovative work environment in a young,
