This position is based at our office in Venaria Reale, Italy (Turin area). As the Embedded Firmware Engineer in Marelli Motorsport, you will define and develop software for several onboard applications as well as help for setting the future evolution of software and related lifecycle design. The work is primarily in C/C++/Python, across Windows and Linux environments. You will create designs, implement code, improve existing codebase, and focus on real‑time implementation, testability, robustness, availability, and performance. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liCreating from scratch custom software design and its architecture /li liDevelop and integrate RTOS, device drivers and micro‑controller routines required by the Motorsport Firmware, unit test report and documentation /li liSoftware maintenance and new implementation /li liSoftware verification/peer review /li liDocument writing and review /li liRequirement engineering /li liTroubleshooting,



fault‑finding, and bug fixing /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liComputer science degree (or equivalent education) /li liProficient experience in embedded software understanding, analysing, and development (C, C++) /li liDevice drivers and microcontrollers peripheral knowledge (GTM, ADC, I/O capture/compare, etc.) /li liExperience developing software targeted at microprocessors and microcontrollers both with multicore requirements /li liOther OS knowledge (FreeRTOS, Linux, etc.) /li liEthernet and WIFI networking protocols /li liKnowledge of communication interfaces: CAN, Ethernet, PCI, SPI, UART, USB, etc. /li liExperience with version control (SVN/GIT), development using agile and V‑model methodologies /li liCapability to read electronic schematics /li liScripting and build script languages e.g. Python /li liKnowledge of laboratory hardware/software instruments (oscilloscope, signal generator, multimeter, Lauterbach, etc.) /li liProficient in English, possessing strong verbal and written communication skills /li liExcellent interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities /li liWillingness to travel on a business basis, if required /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liFast‑paced yet supportive and high‑performing team with an inspiring ambition to transform the future of mobility. /li liSupport in onboarding and further training that will set you up with Marelli's speed. /li liA hybrid work model, helping you to achieve work‑life balance by combining remote and office time. /li liSingle badging applies as the rule for office attendance, providing maximum flexibility regarding in‑person working hours. /li liGrade B3 under the Italian National Metalworker Employment Contract (CCNL),
