The role involves defining market strategy, product localisation, regulatory compliance, and driving growth across the country. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliOversee local team and operations, defining market expansion and winning strategies for product localisation. /liliCollate and execute on a vision that aligns product, finance, treasury and other global teams. /liliManage regulatory licences, registrations and compliance requirements, coordinating with central banking and expansion teams. /liliLead the Italian branch and act as Director/Legal representative, maintaining governance and regulatory relationships. /liliRepresent Wise in Italy at public relations, government relations, and product marketing functions, building brand awareness and partnerships. /liliOwn day‑to‑day operations and harmonise stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth execution.



/liliDrive commercial partnership discussions and create new opportunities within existing relationships. /liliAddress incidents, manage risk, and conduct root‑cause analysis on operational and product bottlenecks. /liliAttend relevant committees and board meetings, providing local leadership. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliExtensive experience managing regulatory relationships and government bodies in a financial context. /liliDeep understanding of local entity operations, compliance, and anti‑money‑laundering controls. /liliStrong background in financial and payments systems, and knowledge of licensing frameworks in Italy. /liliBusiness fluent in Italian and English, with strong communication skills. /liliProven ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast‑moving environment. /liliWillingness to travel to other Wise offices as needed. /liliEntrepreneurial mindset, able to “get hands dirty” and drive initiatives to completion. /li /ulh3Company Culture /h3pWe build money without borders, free of judgement or prejudice.
