Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Data Centers Project Details Inital 6 Month Contract + Extension Location: Milan, Italy Competitive All-In Daily rate We are currently supporting a leading Commissioning Authority (Cx A) client delivering large-scale hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects across Europe. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support a major data center development based in Milan, Italy. Responsibilities Support electrical commissioning activities across mission-critical data center environments from L1–L5 commissioning stages through to IST and handover. Execute and witness testing of electrical infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, PDUs, ATS/STS, busways, and associated power distribution systems. Review commissioning scripts, method statements, technical documentation, and test procedures. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, GC teams, and client stakeholders to ensure successful commissioning execution. Track deficiencies,
support issue resolution, and maintain commissioning documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Support QA/QC inspections, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing activities. Ensure commissioning activities are delivered in line with project schedules, safety requirements, and operational standards. Requirements Previous experience working on mission-critical or hyperscale data center projects. Strong electrical commissioning background across MV/LV electrical systems. Experience supporting commissioning activities through IST and project handover. Ability to work within fast-paced construction and live project environments. Strong communication and coordination skills when working across multiple technical disciplines. EU working rights or the ability to work within Europe preferred.
