A Software Engineer – C++ is sought by this leading satellite systems organisation to be based at their R+D Centre in Milan. The Software Engineer – C++ will be responsible for developing software at all levels under Linux and also at microcontroller level in C++. Working closely with the hardware team the Software Engineer – C++ will be working with a variety of network protocols including TCP/UDP, I2 C, UART etc. The Software Engineer _ C++ will also have the opportunity to assist in some kernel modification and customisation. Having completed your technical education, you will have gained several years of experience developing software under Linux and at microcontroller / microprocessor level (AMD, ARM, So C).
You will have strong modern C++ programming skills coupled with an excellent knowledge of Linux based systems including some experience customising Linux images for So Cs based around AMD, Ultrascale or RFSo C targets. Knowledge of multiple Linux distros (Peta Linux, Yocto, Open Embedded etc.) would be useful as would exposure to TCP/UDP, I2 C, SPI, UART etc. Waiting for you, you will find a very positive, friendly working environment, flexible working opportunities and on-going career progression opportunities.
