Job OverviewAs a Staff Embedded Software Engineer in our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life.ResponsibilitiesDrive embedded software development projects with a strong focus on quality, time‑to‑market and technology trendCollaborate closely with Business Lines and adjacent domains like system and application engineeringDesign and develop embedded software in the field of embedded systems, prototyping software ecosystems and robotic systemsProactively contribute to the strategy for technology trends in the areas of embedded software and prototyping ecosystemsEffectively capture, analyze and understand requirements and break down into structured work packagesAlign with internal and external stakeholders and represent Infineon on events like trade fairs and university fairsSupport and facilitate mentorship and coaching of embedded software (junior) experts (exchange, peer review, sparring partner) to develop leadership skillsQualificationsA degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics,
Computer Science or a comparable discipline; PhD would be a plusAt least 5 years of professional experience in embedded software design and development preferred in semiconductor industry and in the field of robotics, with strong proficiency in C, C++ and PythonProfessional experience in ROS 2 and micro‑ROS, as well as in micro‑ROS enablement and in simulation tools (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo)Professional experience with embedded system development flow and tools (Git, build system, GitLab, etc.), as well as with RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS)Excellent knowledge of MCU architecture/operation (interrupts, IPC, etc.) and communication peripherals (Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI, etc.); experience with ARM Cortex, TriCore and/or RISC‑V architecture would be a plusExcellent knowledge of kinematics, sensor fusion, and control systems in the field of robotics would be a plusFluency in English is mandatory; German is a plusAdditional InformationSubject to meeting all job requirements, belonging to protected categories under Law 68/99 will be considered a preferential requirement.Although experience is desired, we welcome applications from junior candidates as we have a team ready to support your development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
