We have partnered with a European Infrastructure Private Equity fund to appoint an Investment Director to its Milan office and oversee origination and execution of mid-market transactions.
As the Investment Director for Infrastructure Equity in Milan, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the investment activities, strategies, and portfolio management for infrastructure assets within the firm.
You will work closely with senior leadership and collaborate with a highly skilled team to identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities while ensuring alignment with our firm's ESG investment objectives and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Strategy:
Develop and implement investment strategies for infrastructure equity in Milan, Italy.
Define investment criteria and parameters, including asset types, sectors, and risk profiles.
Identify and assess market trends and opportunities for infrastructure investments.
Develop and implement investment strategies for infrastructure equity in Milan, Italy.
Deal Origination and Execution:
Source, evaluate, and conduct due diligence on potential infrastructure investment opportunities.
Lead negotiations, structuring, and execution of equity investments.
Collaborate with legal, financial, and technical teams to ensure successful deal closure.

Portfolio Management:
Oversee the management and optimization of existing infrastructure equity investments.
Monitor the performance of portfolio assets, identify value creation opportunities, and manage risks.
Develop and execute asset enhancement strategies to maximize returns for investors.

Investor Relations:
Maintain and foster strong relationships with investors, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
Provide regular updates and reports on investment performance and strategy execution.
Participate in fundraising efforts as needed.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
Proven experience (8+ years) in infrastructure equity investments with a strong track record of successful deals in Italy
In-depth knowledge of infrastructure asset classes, financial modeling, and risk analysis
Strong negotiation and deal execution skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of ESG and sustainability principles in infrastructure investments is a plus
