Position Overview

Genetec is seeking a highly motivated Account Executive – Public Sector to drive business growth across Italy, with a specific focus on the public sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key public-sector customers, partners, and system integrators while promoting Genetec’s unified security platform and portfolio of solutions.

This role requires a strategic sales professional who can identify opportunities, build long-term customer relationships, and deliver value-driven security and intelligence solutions across government, public institutions, and other public-sector organizations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage a sales pipeline across Italy, with a focus on the public sector, to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with public-sector end users, consultants, and system integrators.
- Promote Genetec solutions, including video management, access control, ALPR, and unified security platforms.
- Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to proposal,



tender/RFP processes, negotiation, and closing.
- Work closely with channel partners to expand market presence and drive joint opportunities within the public sector.
- Collaborate internally with pre-sales engineers, marketing, and partner teams to develop winning sales strategies.
- Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and value propositions to C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline management in CRM tools.
- Represent Genetec at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings across Italy.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities within the public sector.

Required Experience

- Proven success in enterprise or complex B2B solution sales, ideally within the public sector.
- Experience selling physical security solutions.
- Strong track record of direct end-user engagement and consultative selling.
- Experience working within a channel-driven or partner-based sales model.
- Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder sales environments and long buying cycles.
- Fluency in Italian and English.

Preferred Background

Experience with video management systems (VMS), access control, or unified security platforms.

Understanding of IP networking, cybersecurity principles, or enterprise IT environments..
