pSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert: /ph3Junior Marine Technical Support Engineer /h3pPosting Date: 21 Mar 2025 /ppCity: Genova /ppLocation: /ppGenova, IT, 16128 /ppContract Type: Permanent /ppDivision: Marine Compliance, Classification Statutory Cert /ppLevel of experience: Intermediate /ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bJunior Marine Technical Support Engineer /b to join its office in Genova within the Marine Compliance, Classification Statutory Certification Division. /ph3bMission /b /h3pThe Junior Marine Technical Engineer at the RINA Technical Support Center will assist engineers in contributing to maintaining maritime safety, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance. /ph3bKey Accountabilities /b /h3ollibTechnical Support: /b Assists Engineers Colleagues in providing technical support to Marine Operational Network regarding compliance with classification rules, regulations and procedures, as well as general marine engineering and operational issues. /lilibProblem Resolution: /b Collaborate with senior engineers and Marine Operational Network to address technical issues, recommend solutions, and address any non-compliance or deficiencies identified during review of survey reports. /lilibTechnical Performance Review: /b Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, statistical analysis, documentation, and presentations. /lilibTeam Collaboration: /b Work as part of a team alongside senior engineers, naval architects, and other technical professionals to deliver high-quality technical support and classification services. /lilibSafety Awareness: /b Participate in the promotion of safety awareness and a culture of safe maritime operations, ensuring that all activities align with industry safety standards.



/lilibInternal Training and Qualification Scheme: /b Management of surveyor's training and qualification process scheme. Supporting development and delivery of training material and activities (webinars, seminars, internal courses). /li /olh3bEducation /b /h3pBachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering or Engineering General /ppHigh School Diploma/GED in Transport and Logistics /ph3bQualifications /b /h3olliBasic Knowledge of marine systems, equipment, and technologies. /liliProficiency in English Language spoken and written. /liliProficiency in digital software (ex. Microsoft Office). /liliFamiliarity with maritime regulations and industry standards (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO regulations). /liliGood analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct technical assessments and evaluations. /liliExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. /liliDetail-oriented approach with a commitment to ensuring accuracy and compliance. /liliExperience as Deck or Engine Officer or experience as Technician in a Shipping Company (in case of High School Diploma/GED in Transport and Logistics). /li /olh3bCore Competencies /b /h3ulliADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way.
