In this role you get to take charge of a complex AI-powered satellite autonomy system, ensuring timely deliveries at a high standard of quality. You will balance team management with hands‑on implementation activities. /p /brpThis role involves close collaboration with a team of software engineers, as well as users both inside and outside the company. /p /brh3Tasks /h3 /brul /brliLead a small team of software engineers in designing and developing the core of an on-board satellite autonomy system. /li /brliManage and prioritize work for yourself and your teammates. /li /brliInteract closely with users of your software, including members of other departments and external customers. /li /brliDesign intuitive interfaces for your software. /li /brliWrite clear, comprehensive documentation for the software systems you implement. /li /brliEnsure the quality of your software through automated testing and Continuous Integration (CI). /li /brliTake justified executive design decisions, guiding the direction of the projects you oversee.
/li /br /ul /brh3Requirements /h3 /brul /brliBacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. /li /brli3+ years of professional software development experience. /li /brliProficiency with the Rust programming language. /li /brliComfortable working in Linux environments. /li /brliGood communication skills and teamwork experience. /li /brliExperience using Git in collaborative projects. /li /brliSolid understanding of automated software testing. /li /brliProficiency in spoken and written English. /li /br /ul /brh3Preferred Experience /h3 /brul /brliProficiency with C, C++ and/or Python. /li /brliUnderstanding of foreign function interfaces between Rust, C, C++ and/or Python. /li /brliExperience with cross-compilation (especially for the 64-bit ARM architecture). /li /brliFamiliarity with safety-critical software standards. /li /brliKnowledge about aerospace systems, especially: /brul /brliCubeSats Flight Softwares /li /brliFlight operations /li /br /ul /li /brliHands‑on experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (especially Gitlab CI/CD). /li /brliAbility to build and use Docker containers.
