The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government. **Position**:
We are looking for **Transport & Distribution Specialist.** The Transport and Distribution Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and planning deliveries by the Logistics Service Provider (3PL)from and to the Main Distribution Centre (MDC)
and all (non-)competition venues of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Transport and Distribution Specialist will closely collaborate as well as manage the distribution fleet, ensuring effective and timely distribution and that vehicles are available and used efficiently. He/She will coordinate with the 3PL the various stakeholders and parties who will use the warehouse and transport services. **This position is based in the MDC in Filago (BG).** Main responsibilities: - Transport and distribution planning, optimization and execution in collaboration with 3PL.
- Oversee and ensure that shipments IN/OUT the MDC arebooked, prepared and handled correctly and in accordance with the specifications of the requesting functions.
- Handle emergencies and solve problems related to transportation bookings and deliveries.
- Collaborate with the 3PL to develop efficient operations and coordination of the distribution fleet and activities.
- Contribute to the management of the distribution fleet, ensuring the required number of vehicles andmonitoringits serviceKPIs.
- Continuously evaluateoutbound capacity, ensuring that goods are staged efficiently by optimizing available space in accordance withoutboundplanning.
- Manage operations during peak demand, planning and coordinating with 3PL resources and transport fleet to meet delivery needs during key phases of the Games.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including suppliers and partners, to ensure effective communication and propose beneficial solutions.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to logistics, such as safety standards and procedures. **Requirements**: - Proven experience of more than 2 years in logistics operations, with a focus on transport and distribution operations.
- Experience in the logistics of major events is a preferential requirement.
- Excellent coordination skills and ability to manage resources during peak demand.
- Knowledge of warehouse processes and transportation best practices.
- Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams.
- Detail orientation and attention to accuracy.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Bachelor's degree management engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is typically preferred. However, equivalent experience or specialized training in logistics and operations management can also be considered. **Other information**:
