We are looking for a motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The role will report to the Director of Purchasing. Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5 star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italy’s most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences. **Main duties and responsibilities**: - Assist in develop and implement purchasing strategies to source high-quality food, beverages, linens, equipment, and supplies at optimal costs.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with kitchen, housekeeping, and operations teams to maintain stock levels.
- Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries, ensuring quality and quantity meet purchase orders.
- Lift, move, and store goods and supplies, following safety guidelines.
- Maintain purchase records, supplier contracts, and pricing data.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and company policies.




- Evaluate supplier performance and resolve issues related to order discrepancies or delays.
- Work closely with accounting to manage procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Comfortable working in storage areas, loading/unloading goods, and ensuring proper stock organization.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. **Skills and requirements**: - Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Business Central is highly preferred.
